Exhibitor Showcase  A collective of handmade produce, crafts and art that we have personally visited or used and would highly recommend for their skills, passion, products. We support what these small businesses are trying to do in educating people on the benefits of handmade, local produce over mass produced items that are brought in and re-labelled or re-packaged. As we have personally visited the premises/ seen their work, we can verify that the crafts are handmade in UK by local small businesses. With our assistance to widen their customer bases, these companies will have the benefit of showcasing even more handcrafted items to a more diverse audience so that we keep these local/ small businesses supported and help support their showcasing at events too.

Nick Thursfield "I am a sole craftsman working in a shed in Llanymynech. I started woodturning full time about 5 years ago but had been doing bits on and off for 3 or 4 years before that. Examples of my work can be found in the Whittington Castle gift shop, the  Qube Christmas exhibition and Ewe & Ply in Oswestry where I am known as the Grumpy Wood Gnome. Most of the timbers I use are native or naturalised in the UK with the majority being sourced locally. When not hiding in the shed/workshop I can be found volunteering on the Montgomery canal restoration work parties and the Llanymynech Lime Kilns Heritage site work parties."

My name is Hannah Barron, I'm married to a Scotsman and living in Yorkshire. As a result of this my love of tweed and tartan has become a bit of an obsession.

I have created these wonderful owls with the off cuts of kilt fabric from a talented chap in Scotland. Each owl has its own unique personality and character and has been named appropriately. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Please visit my shop to view my other products.

My name is Ian Franklin & I am a signwriter in Shropshire. I started in 1982 when I was 18 for a company in Shrewsbury; completed my apprenticeship there then left to start my own business.

Franklin Signs has therefore over 35 years experience  in traditionally hand written signs, as well as vinyl, vehicle lettering, banners and signage.

Ian appeared on Scrapheap Challenge on Channel 4 where he can be seen lettering a Sentinel steam lorry for Morris Lubricants. It took

him 32 hours to hand letter & gild the vehicle - he was on TV for 4 seconds!! Currently  living on a narrowboat with my partner & our Dachshund in Shropshire.

2021 will be a year of more handwritten lettering & gold leaf work for Franklin Signs, working on products from single letters on glass through to bespoke commissions. HERES TO 2022!
